Wow! Our weekend was packed full of fun, which means I have a lot to share.
Friday, Jonathan and 3 other guys played in a golf tournament organized through our school. The wives decided we would get together and cookout when our hubby's got finished. Us wives were all hanging outside watching the kids play when the 1st two men, Jonathan and Chris Nunn, pulled up to the house. This is what we saw:
HILARIOUS!
At first, we thought they played in the shirts, but it was a part of the giveaway bags. Really, it was!!
When the other hubby's arrived, I had to get a shot of all of them in their awesome shirts. ;)
Between us and the other 3 couples, we have a total of 11 kids. And all of the kiddos got along great!
The Wives
Jonathan and I had a great time and our kids had a ball! My boys got in bed later than usual, but it didn't phase them one bit. They were up bright and early the next morning, cooking me breakfast. Eggs Benedict - one of my favorites!
Austin had a soccer game Saturday morning and his 6th birthday party that afternoon. Yes, 6th!! This year, he had a cosmic bowling party. It was so much fun! He invited all of the boys from his grade, along with our family. All I had to do was bring the cupcakes and goodie bags. EASY! Fun was had by all!
After the party, some family came to the house to watch Austin open his gifts. Austin couldn't wait to tear into his presents.
Then, Jonathan and I had to rush and get ready for our night out with the kindergarten parents. We were meeting to have dinner at Pete and Sam's. A little late, we made it and had a relaxing evening, chatting with other parents. Can't wait for the next night out!
We took a break from the busy life and relaxed all day, today.
While Camden napped, Jonathan took Austin and Hudson fishing. Austin got a new fishing pole and some fishing "stuff" for his birthday, so he was dying to try it out. Well, they ended up catching a fish and the boys wanted to bring it home. Jonathan got a bucket and they brought it to the house.
Austin and Hudson were convinced that the catfish could be their new pet. As the day went on, Austin realized that the fish, now named "Skittle," wasn't going to survive in the bucket full of water. Austin has a huge heart and was saddened by the fact that Skittle would die. Because Austin was so upset, Jonathan decided to "take Skittle to a lake and set him free." Austin wanted to go with him, but we all know that Jonathan wasn't really going to a lake. Instead, he was headed to a dumpster.
After Jonathan got back home, Austin was relieved to know that Skittle was in a lake with all of his other fish friends.
LOVE that sweet angel!
