A Weekend at Home

Since the summer break began, we have been gone on most weekends.  So staying at home this past weekend was great.

Friday, Jonathan and I had a date night.  I cannot tell you how long it's been!!  It was much needed!  My mom came and got the boys, so we were kid free for the evening.  We went to dinner, then drove over to Muddy's for some yummy cupcakes.   We even got to go out for breakfast the next morning, before picking up the boys.  We really need to plan these dates more often.

Once we got our babies, we took care of some overdue yard work.  Sadly, we haven't touched our yard all summer.  The grass was looking dry, our window boxes were missing flowers, and the list could continue.  We got a lot accomplished on Saturday, but we had to stop to get ready for our 2nd preview service at Jacob's Well.

Sunday morning, we went to church, then made our way back home to continue our yard work.  We didn't do everything we wanted, but we are satisfied with what we got done.  Our yard looks WAY better than it did a couple of days ago.

Also, I have an update on Shirley, Jonathan's mom.  She had her surgery this morning, and it went great.  Please pray for a quick, painless recovery.
